Hademade Oak Leaf Hair Clip

Every evening, my family and I go for a walk after dinner around our mountain top neighborhood of Mount Washington. My daughter and I are always stopping to look at all of the different leaves we see. They are so intricate and beautiful and yet there are millions of them everywhere. It’s easy to forget how amazing they are! That is the inspiration behind creating these delicately stitched oak leaves.
The leaf I used to make the pattern for these hair clips was taken from a very old oak tree in Northern California. It measures 3.5 inches long and about 2 inches wide. Attached to the back is a large hair clip which can secure a large section of hair.
