We are immensely complicated and vulnerable beings. When someone we love chooses to delve into the very depths of our heart, despite the inevitable twists and turns and broken tissues that lie beneath its immediate surfaces, it feels as if someone has turned a light on from the inside out. There is a special healing and a special magic that occurs when our heart becomes a home to someone other than ourselves. This is, perhaps, the most important thank you card you will ever send.
